Resolved Questions / Re: Problem with a Pong Game?
« on: June 27, 2011, 02:32:27 am »
Thank you so much.

I looked at the Brick Block and changed my actor physics to the ones used on there.
I set the ball 'Can Rotate?' to No and changed the 'Mass' to 0.1kg.
I set the paddles 'What kind of Actor?' to Cannot be pushed (e.g. platforms)

The game now works, and is user controlled, but at the moment the opposing paddle is unbeatable - that is my next goal  :D

Thanks again.

My behaviours are attached, and the one thing I'll explain is on the Beh_Paddle_R it has a 'Set User to Red'

That will hopefully be moved to a welcome screen where users can choose if they want to be red or blue.

And on the Beh_Paddle_B I've swapped the 'If User = Red' and 'If User = Blue' around - this is just to make both paddles automated.

Rob, all my friction is set to 0 currently  :-\

Resolved Questions / [Solved] Problem with a Pong Game?
« on: June 26, 2011, 12:01:27 pm »
??? I've tried making a simple Pong game, and it works fine for the first 30 seconds then something goes wrong. For now I've just tried simply getting the ball to bounce between two paddles, but after going back and forward 4 times, it gets stuck on the right paddle.

(Both paddles are currently automated, but the same thing happens if one is user controlled)

I just don't understand why its happening.

If you need any more information then I'm here all night. Thanks  :)

I know you can create thousands of different characters, but I've never actually tried anything other than the 'Basic Latin' category so I don't know how well it works.

I hope I understood your post properly, but you can make your own fonts at http://fontstruct.com/ for free then download them in .tff format.

You can create anything from Pixel Fonts to proper, professional fonts.
