Hello to this great community!
Please apologise that I ask something I should be able to sort out on my own but I am still trying to collect bits of information that are here and there...
So, I would like to make a game that would run on mobile phones/tablets bearing in mind today's resolutions (i.e. that would be higher than 320x480). Please could you anyone just suggest me:
1. Which values for Setting - Display should I use? I read Stencyl 4.0 suggests "Making a mobile game? Use 320x480" but it does not make sense to me to have such low resolution with nowadays' screens. Am I correct?
2. When I start creating the backgrounds (for a game where background is static, there is no camera), am I correct that the background image should be of the same size of the values of Setting - Display as in question 1?
3. When I start creating actors, I was thinking to make them as images of the "appropriate" size given the size of the background image (I hope this is clear - I mean, I would make actors images the size I would like them to see on the background without bothering of scaling them up or down). Am I correct that then I should scale images at 1x when importing images into the frames of actors?
Thank you so much for the clarifications. As I wrote, all this must be clear when I assimilate all that is written here and there on the website and guides but I need some help to connect the dots.
