Update: Stencyl 3 update of 'Eek! It's a Bomb!' just approved in iOS app store. Game should run in best graphics mode on all iOS devices, including full-screen on iPhone 5. Please take a look - it's free!

Thanks Innes! Interesting to see how it runs on different screens too - on my Xperia the bomb is squashed, very noticeable with a round main character!

Thanks Jon, Innes and Zawrot13, much appreciated. Feedback always helps. Thanks for the info on the typo too - I'll fix that asap! Wert was I thinkding?

Any blog posts, tweets, ratings etc would be great too.

Innes, did you run out of hats to pop? You get a certain number each screen, shown at the top left. Once you've used them up you can only wait for Maurice to explode and try again. If not I need to look at the touch routines again.

Just to report too that Android app submission is so quick and painless for those who are interested. Chrome store too, really.

Thanks! Can anyone confirm that ads are (not) running on the Android title screen if they download the app please?

Please take a look at 'Eek! It's a Bomb!' for Android on Google Play:
and also on the Chrome Web Store:

Released on both formats today and written on Stencyl 3.

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone got live apps running iAds under iOS 6 which don't freeze when touched?
Has anyone got a fix for this please?

Old Bugs (1.x/2.x) / [iOS] iAds freeze Stencyl games on iOS 6

Clicking the small iAds on a device running iOS 6 will freeze the game indefinitely. Games compiled under Xcode 4.5 will not display the small iAd correctly, just a square box at top left of screen. Again, if this is touched the game freezes.

Just to update; the game's still free as it's currently iAd supported. Any feedback would be much appreciated - I think it might work as a Windows/OSx game. Any thoughts?

"Maurice has a problem – he’s a BOMB with a very short fuse! Get him to water before he blows his top by popping the hats which block his path.

Navigate Astral Doorways, work around the Blockheads. Learn in seconds, but be engrossed for hours as you give in to ‘just one more go’. This is a puzzle game like no other, simple, devious, entertaining, with gorgeous graphics – what more could you ask for?

Written by Colin Jones, author of classic 8-bit games 'Slightly Magic' and ‘Rock Star ate my Hamster’ this game betrays a lifetime of game designing skills. Music provided by the genius who is Josh Woodward."

Although I have a history in games writing this is my first Stencyl game, and I'm really pleased with the results. Please take a look at the game and post your comments in the app store and here.

Search for 'Eek! It's a Bomb!' in the app store, or try this link:!-its-a-bomb!/id561691505?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4.

Thanks Captain Comic. That's made my day.  :)

Hello. Can anyone tell me if I can program a standalone Mac/PC game with Stencyl to enter full-screen mode with borders and without scaling? A small game window in the center of the screen with a large border all around?  :D
