Ask a Question / Re: Actors and regions question

I believe that's a problem with Box2D, if you need the collision but don't ever want the actor to move, set it's mass to a crazy high level in it's physics properties to create the same effect as "Cannot be pushed" :)

Glad I could be of some help :)

I believe that the pros outweigh the cons of High-school education, the qualifications of putting your head down for a few more years far exceed the problems you face with undertaking undergraduate studies for any other certificate, (which funnily enough ask you for high-school qualifications)

At least stay in there for now, when you graduate from high school you can take a break for years before you partake in any other study, opening the window for game development but not closing the door to other options.

My 2 cents.. :P

You could do it inside a behavior and create an ActorType attribute to make an option to select an ActorType or to be more specific, an Actor attribute (Actor has to be in the scene), then you would make it..

Set X to ? for Selected Actor/ActorType,

It's because you're inside an event for a particular actor, accessing another actor is a game-wide feat. :) Hope this helps!

p.s. Don't forget to attach the Behavior to your button handler actor :D

What's so awesome about this is that I've been contemplating an Adventure Time-Based RPG for so long now and those sprites are fantastic, keep up the good work! I may have to hit you up at some time, cash money of course! :D

A leveling system in what aspect? A character leveling system (Upgrades to stats etc.) or an actual level system (different environments) that you make your way through as you progress throughout the game?

Hello folks, my name's Kris, I'm 18 years old and I'm an Electronic Music Producer, specializing in Minimalistic & House aspects, I have been experimenting with many sorts of compositions and structures used in general gaming scores. This led me to wonder what it would actually be like to learn the entire process of web game development from start to finish, this led me to ActionScript, a tool that I fear I do not yet have the patience for, at least until I understand some more things about it's flow, hence Stencyl. I'm a mega-fan of the TV shows Community, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones & recently Adventure Time (thanks to my girlfriend).  I am a streaming operator and director for the local football league's weekly match broadcasts. Anywho, there's a bit about me, hope to learn a thing or two while I'm here, thanks! :)
