Ask a Question / IOS display size
« on: August 25, 2015, 08:03:08 pm »
I am making this game on IOS. Currently, I set my display size is 375*667, which is like the standard size for iphone 6. When I set scale mode the Scale to Fit (Full Screen), the game is displayed perfectly on iphone 6 (as expected), clear but a little bit buggy on 6+ (that's so ok). However, it is very blurry on iphone 5s. I have no idea how to deal with this. What should I configure so that the game is clear on all screen sizes?
(I already imported all of my graphic at 4x resolution, and the arts are perfect.)

Ask a Question / Re: Rotating Camra/ Or whole Scenè‰
« on: August 03, 2015, 10:48:08 pm »
That would work for the rotation, but the resulted rotating effect wont be very smooth, and things would detect temporary while they are rotating. So it's a good solution, but not really ideal.

Ask a Question / Rotating Camra/ Or whole Scenè‰
« on: August 03, 2015, 09:49:19 pm »
I have scanned through the whole forum, but I can't find any definitive answer to this question. Basically, I want to create a turning effect with everything rotate around the main character, instead of the character turning itself. Is there any possible methods to achieve this?

Ask a Question / Re: Scene Switching Issue, Please help, I'm new

I think with this description it's kind of hard to help you. You need to provide more information, such as the code of the ant or the code of the scene.

Journals / Level Up!
« on: July 19, 2014, 12:47:41 pm »
Hi guys, It's been quite a while since my last game with Stencyl. I just want to introduce our newest game, Level Up!. Since the game is somewhat large and has many details, bugs and errors are inevitable.  I hope that you guys could give us some comments and feedbacks to improve the game.
Here is the link to the game:

And these are some pictures of the game.

Ask a Question / Freeze time
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:52:45 am »
I want to create a zone inside which every actor is freezed, like stopping the time in that zone. The thing is, my game is kinda complicated with a huge amount of actors, so the option of individually stop all animations and behaviors of actors inside is not easy at all. I wonder if there is any easier way to achieve this?

If you have not found out the solution yet, attached here is the way to tackle the problem.
basically, tspeed is the turning speed.  this behavior makes the turret points toward mouse slowly, not immediately. If you want it to point at anything else, just change the [x of mouse] and [y of mouse] into the x and y coordinate of the target.
By the way, I have spent 1 year building a tank game.  Here is the link:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/624384.
So I am pretty sure 90% of what you need I have already done. If you want, i can send you the whole game. But it is made with 2.2 though.

News / Re: Stencyl 3.0 - Design Once. Play Anywhere.
« on: August 31, 2013, 12:44:38 am »
it's been nearly one year since the announcement of Stencyl 3.0 and there is still nothing now. I know the Beta testers have already get accessed to the program but isn't it a bit late now?

That is excatly what I am going to do when 3.0 comes out, since I have been waiting for 3.0 for nearly 6 months to complete this game but now I can't wait any longer and I just have to do it.
And I really expect the "singnificantly improved" as you say. Many of my idea has to be rejected due to the slow performance of stencyl.
