Old Questions (from 1.x/2.x) / ios apps: how big should the grid for each scene be?

I'm making an ios app, and i cant seem to figure out what the width and height should be! when i click "customize grid" it shows the defaults as both the width and heigh as 32. I don't know how to do what i want to do, I want to resize the screen/scene to fit the iphone/ipod touch. If you have both the measurements for the iphone/ipod touch 5 AND the older iphones/ipod touches, that would be GREAT!!!!
