Can you check what version of Java you're running? (Make sure it's Java 1.6.)

where would I check this? I went on the java.com and verified my version which is version 7 update 5.

I don't think so now that you mention it, I may have though... is it because of an update or lack there of?

Every time i press "Create a New Game" this window comes up, whenever I mouse over stuff some of it appears and some doesn't. After a while most of it appears but i can't see anything above the drop block kit I think. any help would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention that I'm also running this on W7 and when I first downloaded it, it was fine and I didn't have this problem. I've tried re-installing it but it didn't help.
