Yea I figured as much, however I certainly am coding the update in Stencyl only.  I figured ya'll would let it slide, especially because I'm able to do some cool stuff in the Stencyl version that I couldn't do otherwise.

Happy Zoo Match and Learn HD is now available for iPad.  Grab it now, it's free!

This will be an interesting example for me, because this version is designed in Gamesalad, however, I am currently underway in a complete remake using Stencyl.  The update will bring universal access and a much cleaner user experience.

I have tracked down the cause (for anyone that cares) to the following progression:

Spawn actor with animation green(default)

On Create{
Set randomNumber = random number between 1 and 3
If randomNumber = 1 { set self.animation = green}
Otherwise If randomNumber = 2 { set self.animation = blue }
Otherwise If randomNumber = 3 { set self.animation = red }
Set self.friction = 0

There seems to be a problem with Stencyl setting friction to an actor after it changes animation.  I even went as far as to implement a 10 second delay between creation, and setting friction.  Sure enough, 10 seconds after creation, iPad crashes.  Setting friction before changing self. animation is not an option because each animation seems to have a different friction value by default.

I hope this gets some exposure.  It's a bug.

It's on top of the xcode screenshot.  The blue, set friction to 0.

The code, "On create, set friction to 0" is the entire offending code block.  And the only code block that the actor has.

If I take that simple piece of code out, there is no error.  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code = 1, address=0x8)

Simply adding a set friction event to the creation of an actor will crash my ioS game.  There's nothing else friction related in my game.  Setting friction simply bugs out.

I'd have to agree, and there seems to be no official word from anyone on how to set this up.  This support for this community sucks.  If the software wasn't so good, I'd leave.

Just setting the app type to universal or universal 2x alone does not make an app work on both iphone and ipad.  There are a ton of other settings (1,2,3,4x, scene size, etc etc) that need to be correct too.

Can someone give a detailed explanation of how to get a universal app to work.  I have 4x size graphics for everything, so it shouldn't be this tough...
