When you compile, you have an error, you click on the error, the external editor opens, you modify it and save the file. But it doesn't save the original file. So you compile and it does the same error.

I think there are a couple files that it can't open the original for. I'm guessing you ran into one of them. Off the top of my head, ApplicationMain.hx is one of them. Any design mode or code behavior errors should open the source.

In fact, when it is code that you've created in Stencyl and not from an extension, it opens the file in the stencyl generated folder and not the game one. ( Still the case in build 10522)

Ah, I see. This is for code mode and freeform behaviors.
I've modified the behavior in b10550 to open the built-in code editor and jump to the appropriate line. This will be available in public release 4.0.3.
