Hello,

As of now there are 2 ways to add text to the scene, create a actor and the animation is text, or from events or behaviors write text using a font. My suggestion is that there should be a third way.

By selecting the add text button on the scene sidebar users can add text directly to the scene and start typing on the scene itself. Once they wrote the text they can drag the word around the scene to where they want to move it. They can choose their font from the fonts they imported to Stencyl.

This would result a easier and improved way of adding text to the scene. Please check out this animated video to fully understand the idea.

A toolset extension would also be nice. But seriously there has got to be a easier way to add text to a scene  :) .

Bump, Yeah I know its were not suppose to bump suggestions.  I'm  aware that Stencyl receives a lot of suggestion and just because a issue isn't commented doesn't mean it isn't noticed. But I think its a fair bump since  it is really a basic feature Stencyl should have. Also Stencyl doesn't really have good option of adding text to a scene. The blocks taker forever to get the coordinates right and you can't view label animations in a scene so that is the same issue of aligning it in a scene.  It takes an ample amount of time and a pain in the neck to create basic UI with Stencyl's limitations.

I didn't see this before. I have nothing against bugs and suggestions being bumped. Just don't expect us to reply to every issue right away. :D

Regarding this suggestion, I don't think it'll be implemented, at least in this way. Perhaps with a HaxeUI 2 extension, and a dedicated GUI building screen.
