Easy way to develop games!!!

Hey friends!!! I am game developer and recently i was just finding something related to games and i came across some of the websites which can give you readymade sourcecode for games.

We just need to do download that sourcecode and replace the code with our images. Below is the list of sites:

But i have question that anyone tried game developing this websites... If yes then tell how it works and is it beneficial to use it.

That is called reskinning. I've seen a lot of people doing it. I've also seen a lot of people buying codes and then asking for developers to reskin the code. I always ignore those requests.

I've never done it, but it is like you said. You buy the code and drop in your own graphics. Hopefully you know enough about game mechanics to change your game a little. Reskins can make you a lot of money if they look or function better than the original. And it is legal since you cannot copyright game mechanics. However, I agree with batuhancan, it is not considered game development.

What? No way. This is absurd.
Its like someone based their game source on the Quake,  FarCry or even Unreal.
Taking the mechanic, source code, with just little altering, and just re-skinning it.
What kind of world are we living in??

Sarcasm aside, mackbanville, its better just create your casual game from scratch rather than buying them, its much more satisfying, it'll save you some money, and you learn more from it. Most of the ones they sell on those sites are just a simple game mechanics, that probably will just take you couple of weeks to create.

@mackbanville , Stencyl already has something like this on the forge called kits....

What about re-skinning your own games? Just wondering if people do that.

xcmm: I think some might do it, or maybe some companies, who don't care about quality but are more interested in quantity. I suppose that way they think every week there's a small chance for their game to become the new big hit

In the past I worked at a small company where I did the graphics and we did re-skinning aaall the time. We had about 5 source codes and we kept on using those. They wanted to release one game per week.  It's really frustrating  and boring working like that. But apparently the company was earning good money, especially from kids games.
